Blog #2

I think that this all makes sense. I do believe that advertising has a significant impact on the actions, lifestyles, and beliefs of not only children but of people of all ages. I think that we are constantly bombarded with all of these advertisements and campaigns, and that all of them are indeed a big factor in everyone's lives. I think that the cases and examples they showed in this movie were the extreme cases, and that they used a biased point-of-view to exemplify their side of this issue. I think that the producers of this production had a clear idea and desires for the outcome and effects of their movie and they used information that was only pertinent to their cause. I do feel however that the media have huge impacts on the lives of people of all ages and that more recently, people of a younger age do in fact get targetted more often by the corporations.

  1. This is really cool. You mention the bias that is taking place in the video. It is really cool how you thought of that. They didn't even address the other side. Media does have benefits. It teaches things about culture. Overall I was really intrigued by your outlook on the video.
